Short documentary
For Rex, a professional basketball player in Hong Kong, we produced a short portrait documentary on his story.
Rex’s story is about love for the sport more than glory. We wanted the film to show what it takes to keep playing where basketball is hard to make a living from, and why he keeps going anyway.
We used a controlled, poetic visual language. Composed framing, deliberate lighting and metaphor-driven imagery carry the emotion of his journey.
The result is an intimate portrait of an athlete, told through cinema language that speaks to the struggle and the passion behind the game.
